General Health checkup Camp, cancer screening and blood donation camp

A one-day General Health checkup Camp cancer screening and blood donation camp was organized in St. Jude church and shrine hall, Pakshikere, Mangalore, Karnataka on tuesda, 13-10-2026 between 8.30 am to 1:00 pm.

Our camp team comprised doctors from department of General Medicine, OBG, surgical oncology, opthalmology, dermatology, General surgery, ECG technician, Blood bank attender, E.N.T, Speech & Hearing along with other laboratory and nursing personnel.

2 individuals benefited from the speech and hearing services provided, comprising 2 audiology patients and one among them was also a patient with voice related concerns. The services were provided by Ms. Jenin Dsouza (Speech Language Pathologist Grade I), along with Ms. Manya J (intern) and Diya M.P (Intern). Each patient underwent a case history, otoscopic examination and hearing screening test. Of the 2 individuals screened, both passed the hearing screening. The one patient with voice issues was noted to have mild hoarse voice and was counselled regarding warmup and cool down exercises, breathing exercises, use of amplification devices, Neck relaxation exercise, RVT and vocal hygiene. The patient with voice issue was provided with referrals through camp referral cards and were counselled to undergo comprehensive diagnostic voice evaluation at Father Muller Medical Hospital.
