General health check-up and Cancer screening awareness camp

A general medical check-up camp and cancer screening awareness were organised at The Church of the Most Holy Rosary Hall, Hoigebazar, Mangaluru, on 9^th August 2026. Medical screening was conducted for people of all age groups.

Our camp team comprised doctors from departments of General medicine, paediatrics, ENT, ophthalmology and speech and Hearing. The speech and hearing services were carried out by Ms Sanjana M (Assistant Professor in Audiology), Ms Jesmin (Intern) and Mr Judin Thomas (Intern). From the department of speech and hearing, 5 individuals were screened: 4 for hearing and 1 for speech and language.

2 individuals did not pass the hearing screening and were referred via camp referral cards and were counselled to undergo a detailed diagnostic evaluation at Father Muller Medical Hospital at concessional rates. 1 individual had an articulatory problem and was referred to the department for further evaluation.
