Medical Screening Camp at Besant English School, Kodialbail, Mangalore

A Medical Screening Camp was organised at Besant English School, Kodialbail, Mangalore, on Tuesday, 08th August 2026.

The camp team comprised doctors and healthcare professionals from the Departments of General Medicine, Ophthalmology, and Speech and Hearing.

A total of 276 students attended the camp and availed themselves of the healthcare services provided. All 276 students underwent speech and hearing screening. The Speech and Hearing team consisted of Ms. Hadline Rechael Noronha (Audiologist Grade I), Ms. Avantika (Speech Postgraduate), and Ms. Anice (Intern).

Each student underwent a detailed case history, otoscopic examination, screening audiometry, and speech screening. Students who did not pass the hearing and/or speech screening were provided with a camp referral card and counselled to undergo comprehensive diagnostic evaluation at Father Muller Hospital for further assessment and management.
